RoomCaddie
Download
The current installer, for Windows 11. You need the licence key from your purchase email to use it.
New in 1.6.2
A new kind of tile that only tells your smart home something, like a GOODNIGHT tile that runs your Home Assistant automation and never leaves Home.
Already have RoomCaddie? Download and run the installer, then choose Keep my room and update. Your room stays as it is.
- Download and run the installer. Your browser may warn you that the file is not commonly downloaded. RoomCaddie is new, this is normal. That warning is about how many people have downloaded the file, not about what is inside it. It is signed by Exit 2 Software LLC, the company that makes it. Choose the option that keeps the file - in some browsers that button reads "Download suspicious file" - then run it. You do not need to be an administrator, and Windows will not ask you for permission. If Windows shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen, click More info. Make sure it says Exit 2 Software LLC, then click Run anyway.
- Open RoomCaddie from the Start Menu or the desktop shortcut. Enter the licence key from your purchase email when it asks.
- The setup wizard finds the programs already on your PC and offers them as tiles. Tick what you want. The quick start walks through the rest.
Reinstalling or moving to another PC
Download the same installer, run it, and enter your key. One key covers up to three of your own PCs. Your room moves as one file: Settings > Backups > Back up to a file on the old PC, Restore from a file on the new one.
Updates
RoomCaddie checks once a week whether a newer version exists and shows you a link; nothing installs by itself. Every 1.x update is free. Install it over the old one; your room stays.
